Our tour arrived early for the cruise and made this area of the dock look busy.

Our ship for Cruise is the Anson Northrup.

The railroad bridge is normally closed but as we approached it was opened.

After we passed it was closed quickly.

There is plenty of room for our River Boat.

Barge dock where grain is loaded on-to the barges to ship dowm the Mississippi River.

This hiway bridge's markings showed that there is 60' of clearence today.

The center of the 1st floor was a Post Office in the middle with glass above to the higher floors to provide light and block sound. This is now open.

Our tour group was split into 3 groups to tour the building. This is group "A"

The decorations in the Court Room on the 4th floor were typical of government buildings in the early 1900's.

In this Court Room a panel of 3 judges convicted Rose Paster Stokes of treasion in 1918.
|
In 1920 the court overturneds the conviction, also in this Court Room.

On the 2nd floor there is an exhibit of old musical insturments.

This is one of the oldest on exhibit.

Even an organ I knew well. It was an electronic organ using TUBEs.

Mom had one that I learned to play as a child.
|
|
Hammond organs need a speaker so a special one was designed to compliment the organ.
