12-Dec-1862: The Union gunboat USS Cario hit a mine and sunk on the Yazoo River north of Vicksburg.

The Cairo was salvaged in 1980 and the remains boats remains are on exhibit here.

Plantation homes normally had two front facing stairs to a balcony.	Here they had two stairs but one from the front and the second from the rear.



We found this bathroom with HEAT as as restroom for the resturant.	Mr.: "The cook has agreed to stay" Mrs.: How did you manage it?" Mr.: "I told her it would be cowardly to leave me alone"
