28-Mar-2022   /   Walking tour of downtown Lisbon
After crusing for 10 days and 3533 miles we woke to find the Riviera docking at the Lisbon Cruise Port.

Lisbon, the Capital of Portugal is built on the low hills on the Tagus River. It is the oldest Capital city in Europe.

In 1755 a server earthquake devastrated the city, causing extensive fires, followed by a huge tidal wave. 2/3 of the sity was left in ruins.

The city was rebuilt but a large number of the buildings were rebuilt in the remains of the destroyed city.

We enjoyed a 4 mile walk thru the Lisbon downtown area.
