The Zuiderdam docked about 1 mile from the Town Center. We walked to Town Center and got on the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus. We had decided to got off at the Rujks Museum
Along the way we passed a Windmill along the canals in Amsterdam.	Parking lots for bikes are seen all over town.


Arriving at the Rujks Museum we got off the bus and walked over to the ticket office. When we went in the ticket office we learned that tickets were not available for several days due to festivals in town.


Walking thru the archway of the museun we found that we were in the Gardens of the Rijks Museum, no tickets needed here.

We were actually in a large outdoor garden with other buildings around the edge. Tulips were the main garden attraction.



Two other large buildings stood out.
The Concert Gebouw, concert hall	The Van Gogh Museum

Walking around the side of the Rujks Museum we found the Rujks Museum Gardens.





When leaving the area of the Rujks Museum I noticed a typical Amsterdam home. Very narrow multi story homes that have verry narrow stairs to the upper floors. This presented a problem as to how to get large items into the upper floors. The hook on the gable provides a place to attach a lift to hoist large items.


Next we decided to ride on a Canal Boat to return back to the Town Center area, This was a nice hour ride that we really enjoyed.

Many Canal Boats and Boat Homes were seen along the way.

19-Apr-2023 / Ship Tour "Tulip Festival" to Keukenhof Tulip Garden
Beautiful country while riding out to the Keukenhof Farm,	We have arrived.

Our tour ended at the Windmill.	This is one of the tulip fields. Here the tulips are grown only for the bulbs.
Many windmills are seen but these are for power.	This bridge leads to a new area that has been recovered from the sea.
