21-May-2024 / Hawkins Point RV Park



Here is what we saw when we turned in the entry. On the left is covered storage and on the right a building for Check In, Provo RV Storage and Sales..

As we drove in the "Check In" person came out to meet us.	She showed us around and helped us get parked on site #7.

21-May-2024 / Dinner at Champ's, the "World Famous Fried Chicken".

22-May-2024 / Incline Railway.

This morning we started by riding the Incline Railway to the top of Lookout Mountain.	The cars were built with the seats inclined 18 deg to match the steepest area on the track.
Time to go up.	Go up & UP & even STEEPER UP.

Almost to the top.	We made it to the top.
After walking around at the top of Lookout Mountain we started down.	Looking out the side shows the slope.

Chickkamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.

"The Battle of Lookout Mountain" covers one wall, 12' high,in the National Park Service Building.

In the Park Peaches located an overlook showing the type of view the forces occupying this area would have of Cattanooga..

Ruby Falls

Both of these photos are of the same "Ruby Falls". The lighting is changing all of the time so every photo will be different.

We took the Electric Shuttle across the Tennessee River and then walked back into the downtown area on the Walnut Street Bridge.
Crossing the Tennessee River, on the Shuttle, we saw the Walnut Sreet Bridge.	Walking on the bridge over Collidge Park we found this weather vane top of the Carousel.
