7:45am arrived early as we entered the Vatican City.

No crowds were present. This made it worth getting an early start. |

The "Holy Doors" in Saint Peter's Basilica are open to the public every 25 years for 1 year. |

Just inside the "Holy Doors" is Michelanglo's "PIETA". This is located behind a Bulletproof window for its protection.

In front of the "High Alter is the enterance to the "Chapel of the Confession" |

The "Chapel of the Confession" is the purported burial place of "Saint Peter". |

Pope Gregory XVI authorized any Catholic Priest to celebrate Mass in the chapel. |

Along the Northern Aisle a service was in progress in one of the Chaples.

In many places there is artwork found in the floor.

Guards were noticed in an entrance to the Basilica lower levels.

We ask where the Pope appears from his window and this window was pointed out.

9-Apr-2025 / After a short rest we got on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus to get a quick look at what we were planning for tomorrow. |

The Colosseum is definitely on our list of places where we MUST stop tomorrow.

Palazzo Senatorio, seat of the municipality of Rome. MUST stop tomorrow.

For several blocks the street corners were decorated.
|

The Bus stopped right at the end of the building containing our suite.
|

It street end of the building contained a Methodist Church. We could not get inside.
