Early morning view of the Georges Island National Historic Site, from the Zuiderdam.
The Zuiderdam had to relocate to the harbor before we could start the 2nd day.

Looking at this from the side toward the water, it looks like a piece of metal.

The other side actually looks like a statue.

Looking back torward the water front I found this boat docked.

Later I saw the boat again giving a tourist tour of the Halifax Harbor.

Walking on to our first stop, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

The museum covers most of the Maritime areas, but we had a limited time so we only went into the Titantic Area.

This is a 1985 photo of the Crow's Nest.

Walking back to the Zuiderday, via the St. Mary's Basilica, The Old Burying Ground, and down the hill to the Tender pickup dock,

Walking up this hill for 2 blocks was a task.

Saint Mary's Basilica
images/250821/P8214495.jpg

Unfortunately we were in Halifax on a Sunday so entrance to the Bascilica was limited.
When we arrived at the Saint Mary's Basilica there was a service in progress.
During this time we were limited to taking pictures from the rear of the Basilica.
The side stained glass windows were beautiful but I could not get any photos.

Down this hill to the waterfront.

That block was only a 3 story drop. The next block is a 5 story drop to the water front.

We lost our docking space to the the Westerdam since they were scheduled to be in Halifax.
images/250821/P8214563.jpg
Early this morning the Zuiderdam moved from the dock to holding position in the harbor.
We have a short walk past the spot where we docked yesterday. Then along the dock until we get to the Tender Dock. Then board the Tender to go out to the Zuiderdam..
