 6:28 AM - As we started to approach the entry to the Panama Canal 1st Lock.

 6:28 AM - The 1st Lock is located just after we go under this bridge.
|

 6:34 AM - As we approach the bridge we can see the Canal spliting, Right is the Original, smaller, Canal & Left is the Newer, wider, Canal.
|

 6:43 AM - We have entered the Newer,Wider, Canal and the Original, smaller, Canal a can be seen across from us.
|

 7:07 AM - Here you can see a Smaller Ship in the Original Canal.
|

 7:49 AM - We are just entering Lock #1 of 3 connected Locks. Note: Ship in Lock #2.

 7:26 AM - The Lock #1 gate is closing behind us.
|

 7:51 AM - They have started to raise the water level in Lock #1.
|

 8:03 AM - The Gate to Lock #2 is opening
|

 8:13 AM - We are into Lock #2 and they have started raising the water in Lock #2.
|

 8:36 AM - The Gate to Lock #3 is opening.
|

 9:07 AM - Lock #3 is full and the Gate to Gatun Lake is opening. We are now 85 ft above sea level.

 9:17 AM - Entering Gatun Lake.

 9:26 AM - Looking back at the Lock area.
Left side is the Origional Locks and Right side is the New Locks.
|

Tenders were used to take persons that had scheduled Bus Tours of the Panama area.
The Rotterdam left to return East, back down, the Panama Canal we came up this morning and then dock in Colon to pickup the passengers that went on Bus Tours.
|

While we were waiting to return East, back down, the Panama Canal the Queen Mary 2 entered Gatun Lake via the New Wide Locks.
|

This is a Cruise ship exiting Gutan Lake Origional Locks.
|

Looking back to the East from Gutan Lake, the Left side is the Origional Locks and the Right side is the New wider Locks.
|

 2:28 PM - Preparing to enter Lock #3, heading toward Colon.
|

 3:47 PM - Preparing to enter Lock #1
|

 3:51 PM - Preparing to enter Lock #1
|

 4:04 PM - Preparing to exit the Panama Canal Lock #1 and head to Colon.
