Today we visited Park City Area:
- The Utah Olympic Park
This is one of the two Olympic Winter Training Centers for the USA.   This also was the sight for many of the events during the the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic's. After the 2002 Olympics it was decided to keep the site for future training.
The cost to build the site and put on the 2002 Olympics was 2.5 billion dollars and they had a profit of 100 billion dollars. This has been used for park maintance, but several years the Park became self supporting.
We took a tour that went to the top of the 120 meter Ski Jump, the top of the Bobsled, snf yjr Freestyle Pool

- Downtown Park City
Prospectors discovered silver in1868 in the area and they soon become Park City Mine owners and made fortunes.
After the mins closed Park City survived until a fire distroyed most of the town. For the few that remained the ski resorts have reinvented the city.
