31-Jul-2019, Chicken, AK The drive today over the Top of the World Highway was a short distance but most of the raod was either loose gravel or dirt. The average driving speed was around 25 mph. - Crossed the Yukon River on a Ferry. - Stopped at The highest point on theTop of the World Hiway. - Boarder crossing into Alaska & USA - Stopped at the missing welcome to Alaska sign. - Toured the Pedro Gold Dredge. - Panned for gold. - Caravan Cookout

1-Aug-2019, Tok, AK Today was a short drive from Chicken to Tok. The road was only slightly better.   After two days of driving on many sections of dirt road all of the RVs and cars in the Caravan need to have a washed. When we arrived at the Tok RV Village we were welcomed with a high pressure wash to get the worst of the dirt off.

2-Aug-2019, North Pole, AK (Near Fairbanks, AK) - Stop at Delta Meats for photo. - Stop at Alaskan Pipeline for photos. - Stop at Knotty Shop for IceCream.       Great ice Cream. - Dinner at Pioneer Village Salmon Bake.       All you can eat dinner,       Prime Rib or Salmon. - Show at the Palace Theater       Enjoyable early 1900's comedy.

We filled the parking lot at this stop even though the Caravan is spaced out, 2 hr from 1st to last, along the road.

4-Aug-2019, North Pole, AK - Free Day. - Visited North Pole. Saw Santa and his reindeer.

5-Aug-2019, Fairbanks, AK Monday, 5-Aug-2019 - Tour thru some Alaskan Mining History     - Alaska Pipeline.     - Train ride around the area.     - Gold Dredge #8.     - Pan for Gold.         We got about $35.00 worth of gold

13 & 14-Aug-2019, Homer, AK - Alaska Island & Oceans Visitors Center - Hop-On, Hop-Off Trolley - Older Homer - Homer Spit - Fantasy Caravan parked on the beach.       (Hertiage RV Park)

Homer, now Old Homwr, was located on Kachemak Bay. The town was moved a short distance to the NorthEast.
