Our Guide explained the process on making a Gold Bar.
images/230221/P2219667.JPG
Lights off and he removes the container containing the molten Gold from the Oven.
images/230221/P2219668.JPG
Next he sets the container in front of the bar mold to change the tool from lifting to pouring
images/230221/P2219671.JPG
Time to pour the 99.99% pure GOLD into the bar mold.
images/230221/P2219672.JPG
When the GOLD has been poured, the empty continer is returned to the top of the oven.
images/230221/P2219673.JPG
When the GOLD bar has cools to a solid, less that 60 sec, he removed it to cool.
images/230221/P2219674.JPG
After a quick dip in the cooling tank it was still too hot to handle.
images/230221/P2219675.JPG
While our guide took off his gloves, the GOLD bar was cooled in the tank.
images/230221/P2219679.JPG
Our guide is proud to show us the GOLD bar that he has just made.
images/230221/P2219681.JPG
Next we move into a safe where we can try to lift a GOLD bar. Peaches could not lift it.
Back to the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus.
