Welcome to Fremantel. Now to the took the train to Perth.
From the Perth Train Station we were looking for the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus. The WA Museum did send us in the right direction.

WA Museum Boola Bardip, we found a Leatherback Turtle, but no Hop-On Hop-Off Bus.

This building was on the other side of the street from the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus stop.
After waiting for the about 45 min we got started on our Hop-On Hop-Off Bus tour.

The Matagarup Bridge

The Optus Stadium

The Perth Mint was our first Hop-Off

Inside the entry we found this statue honoring the discovery of GOLD.

This is the largest coin ever minted, weight 1 ton.

Our Guide explained the process on making a Gold Bar.

Lights off and he removes the container containing the molten Gold from the Oven.

Next he sets the container in front of the bar mold to change the tool from lifting to pouring

Time to pour the 99.99% pure GOLD into the bar mold.

When the GOLD has been poured, the empty continer is returned to the top of the oven.

When the GOLD bar has cools to a solid, less that 60 sec, he removed it to cool.

After a quick dip in the cooling tank it was still too hot to handle.

While our guide took off his gloves, the GOLD bar was cooled in the tank.

Our guide is proud to show us the GOLD bar that he has just made.

Next we move into a safe where we can try to lift a GOLD bar. Peaches could not lift it.
Back to the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus.
