Today we visited the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In the early 1900's a number of concerts were held in this natural amphitheatre. The naturally perfect acustics were noed as far back as the Ute tribe in earlier times.

In 1936 the CCC and WPA built the current amphiteatre, opened to the public in 1941.

The amphiteatre is defined by three large natural rocks:
- Behind the stage is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock.
- Two huge outcrops angled outwards are located on either side of the rear of the amphiteatre.
- Seating is provided for 9525 people.

Today we stayed in Denver and visited several locations:
- Denver Botanical Gardens
This is one of the beater gardens that we have visited. In 2014 the garden hosted a Chihuly exhibition. They have a permanent display of a piece of Chihuly's art work.

- Lunch at Pho-Natic
A Vietnamese resturant where we enjoy a lunch of "Pho".
To our surprise We found that the resturant was located near several points of interest:

- The Colorado State Capital was only one block away.

- The Cinco de Mayo Celebration was Just down the hill two blocks away.

- The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conseption was on the way back to the car.

What an uneppected day filled with lots to do that was not on our schedule.

- Rocky Mountain National Park
We entered the park on CO-34 just outside of Estes Park. Traveling up The "Trail Ridge Road" we passed one Road Closed sign with the road gate open. Several miles later we again passed a road closed but the road gate at the opposite end of the parking area was closed. We walked an additional 1.5 mi up the road before we decided to stop. The parking area was at is 10,965'

- Dinner at Benihana on the way back to the RV
